Vocational Counseling
Vocational counseling can be helpful if you face challenges that prevent you from easily identifying a career goal and attaining a job. After attending the METRO orientation, you may choose to meet one-on-one with a career counselor who can provide assistance with your job search. If you need more in-depth services and are eligible, you may be enrolled into the WIA program, which allows you to work more intensely with a career counselor for a more extended period of time.

Department of Rehabilitation
The Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) helps individuals with disabilities obtain and retain employment and maximize their ability to live independently. Vocational rehabilitation services may include training, education, transportation and job placement. For more information, call (415) 507-1483
EDD Veterans Services
Veteran’s employment assistance may be available to eligible U.S. military veterans. This includes specialized assessment and job search assistance. For more information, contact Jim Weber at (415) 507-2116.
National Council on Aging
The National Council on Aging serves job seekers 55 years of age and older. Services include job placement and training programs. The National Council on Aging has a representative at MEC on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9am-2pm. For more information, call Charles Mason at (415) 269-3463.
YWCA
The YWCA 50+ Employment Program assists low-income Marin County women over 50 years old in finding permanent employment. The 50+ Employment Program provides career assessment and coaching.
